Just BLOG, Why Dontcha' ?

This is a question I ask myself all the time - I mean, really - why not just write a blog? And yet I am afraid I have become quite Blog Resistant, and I now look at blogging as some sort of unwholesome chore, right up there with cleaning out the litterbox or scrubbing all the yucky, grimy stuff off the shower curtain. Yep, that's how much I've come to enjoy blogging!

I think that the moment someone informed me that blogging is VITALLY IMPORTANT to my continued career as a photographer and that I will limp bedraggled into the land of photographic obscurity without one it became this fearsome creature - something to be tamed and managed rather than enjoyed. All of a sudden EVERY WORD and EVERY IMAGE became SO IMPORTANT, and here I am today - frozen into inactivity at the mere mention of the phrase "why don't you blog?" ARRRGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I just.... I just... CAN'T!!!!!!

So today. I'm trying something new. Today I say F**K IT, and just post up a series of random images I shot awhile back on a very cold day somewhere in San Mateo. Just for the pure hell of it. Just because I ran across them while I was feverishly searching my BIG-ASS hard drive for something much more important and said "huh, I kinda like these, maybe I'll post them"...

EUREKA!!!! We have a breakthrough Ladies and Gentlemen! And now, without further ado, here's some stuff to look at:

Yes, power lines - one of the things that seems to separate photographers from the rest of humanity is our endless obsession with documenting the mundane!

Here's one of my 80 million sunset images. Ever since I've moved out here to Cali I can't seem to stop documenting sunsets all of these lush, rich sunsets!

Okay, that's it - I didn't want to put too much pressure on myself w/ this whole new blogging thing - LOL!

That wasn't too bad - much better than cleaning out the litterbox!

Well done, Lisa! And well said about putting so much pressure on yourself with EVERY POST!

That's it Lisa...you can do it! Just remember, slow and steady wins the race!!!
Hahaha!! Thanks for posting, lovin' the images!!

Nice images. You've captured that murky San Mateo-ishness.

More more more please...

Love the blogging 'tude! Just post a few photos you like (no, you don't have to be PASSIONATE about them) with a sentence. That's all we ask!

I think I'd die if I didn't blog anymore, a big black hole would suck me up and draw me into the great abyss. LOL. I love that last image, the framing is sensational!

OK it's really not fare to put only three pictures up. Those last two are awesome! I want to see much more!!!!!!!!! more! more!!!

Ohhh the bay! I hear ya with the blogging...one thing is never compare yours to others..this is all bout you and who you are as an artist, person, photog, etc. Loved your post!

I could never understand why my friends thought I was a freak for taking oodles of pictures of dead trees on backpacking trips. I feel much better now that I know that photographers love to take pictures of power lines and such! Thanks for the super fun blog!

I am hearin' ya girl! I will see you in the photographic land of obscurity!

I love reading and I am always searching for informative information like this! You are bookmarked!
